Les Deux rebuilds demand planning for the next stage of growth

Over the past decade, Les Deux has been scaling from a Scandinavian start-up into an international menswear brand. We sat down with Jonatan Trock, Business Intelligence at Les Deux, to discuss the strategic ambitions behind integrating Hakio into their operations and the expectations for demand planning as the brand continues to grow. “My main mission has been to spread and activate data to the greatest extent possible across Les Deux. This has become increasingly important as the company is in many ways fundamentally different from what it was just four years ago,” he explains.

Scaling complexity

As Les Deux has grown, so has the complexity of its operations.

“We’ve doubled our headcount, resulting in a greater number of specialized roles, making the internal complexity different than it was before. Externally, our operations have also expanded, as we serve more markets, a broader range of  customer segments and manage additional warehouse locations.”

The brand now sits on a wealth of operational data, but turning it into actionable insights has been a challenge.

“Most companies have access to a vast amount of data. One hurdle is that the quality must be right, but the greater challenge lies in making data actionable and extracting meaningful insights from it,” Jonatan highlights.

He continues, “managing all the data input and parameters required for a robust forecasting model is very heavy manual work. We simply haven’t had the time or capacity for it.”

A single source of truth

As the collaboration begins, the ambitions and expectations of how Hakio will support Les Deux operations are clear.

“I expect that with Hakio, we have a platform where we have a single source of truth, where the entire operations and planning team can all work in a uniform and consistent way with demand and inventory planning. This alignment, in itself, is an important objective for our efficient internal cooperation.”

This connected platform allows the team to place orders with greater precision and rely less on gut instinct.

“I expect we will see a higher degree of precision when placing orders with Hakio, since we’ll be able to account for more parameters and patterns than when we manually work with the data.”

Sustainability & scalability aligned

Improving forecasting is not only about efficiency, it is also about producing responsibly. The fashion industry is one of the largest global polluters, with overproduction, wasted materials, and inefficient transportation contributing heavily to carbon emissions and resource depletion.

“When you work in fashion, there is no alternative to having a sustainability strategy,” Jonatan explains.

“Given the nature of our industry, it is paramount to take responsibility for the core task that is minimizing our overconsumption. This includes both reducing the resources used in production and placing orders at the optimal time, to optimize transportation methods, thereby lowering our overall CO₂ footprint.”

Getting started with the Hakio team

As the collaboration begins, Jonatan highlights that choosing to work with Hakio was as much about people as it was about technology.

“Hakio is a company that prides itself on professionalism. At Hakio, I meet people who are ready to go the extra mile to implement the tool, like taking time to come to our office so we can get the best onboarding possible. They’re people who take pride in delivering something that is reliable and trustworthy,” he ends.

With Hakio in place, Les Deux is laying the groundwork for smarter, faster, and more collaborative demand planning, positioning the brand to continue scaling globally with confidence.
