Winther Studio: When scaling breaks the old way of working
For the past 3.5 years, Warehouse and Procurement Manager Camille Talebnasab has played a central role at Winther Studio, a fast-growing jewelry brand where trend sensitivity, timing, and the push into new markets continue to increase the complexity of planning and purchasing. "Everything was done manually before."
Working across Excel spreadsheets, Camille managed forecasting, purchasing, and internal reporting on her own. But as Winther Studio’s assortment grew and the business became more dynamic, the cracks in this approach began to show.
“Because everything had to be done manually, it could easily take me a month to place a purchase order. And the company doesn’t stand still during that month. But my Excel sheet did.”

“With one click, I can pull up a collection and get an overview, where before I had to check each product individually to see the data. In Hakio’s Availability report, I can quickly get a feel for if and for how long something is available. It really helps me keep my finger on the pulse and gives me the full overview I’ve been missing.”

Camille highlights how live availability reporting and automatic alerts relieve the mental burden of manually monitoring every product. Especially in preparation for high-pressure sales periods like Black Friday and the holidays.
“I’ve always felt stressed around Black Friday and Christmas, because I had to get one big order exactly right and well in advance. Now I feel much more at ease knowing when I can plan purchases and execute two or three smaller purchase rounds in November and December, because the process is so much faster.”
Time to think strategically
With Hakio, Winther Studio has been able to shift from placing large, infrequent orders to smaller, more frequent ones, reacting to real-time demand signals. This improved operational efficiency freed up time for Camille to think and act more strategically.
“Because I save an insane amount of time on creating purchase orders, and because Hakio knows our lead times, we can place smaller orders more frequently. That means we don’t over-purchase and tie up unnecessary capital in inventory.”

The impact extends beyond efficiency. With less capital tied up in stock, Winther Studio can redirect resources to fuel growth in other areas.
“Now that we no longer have so much capital tied up in inventory, it frees up money we can invest in things like marketing, which is important for us as we’re expanding into new markets.” Camille continues:
“Because Hakio presents all the data in a clear way, we can make better strategic decisions, like which products we should phase out or push harder in sales and marketing.”

Not just a tool for demand planners
Hakio’s role quickly expanded beyond the purchasing team. With shared visibility on product status and lifecycle, teams like marketing and customer service finally had real-time insights they could use.
“The other teams don’t always understand what’s in our WMS, because it’s warehouse language—like, what is a packaging level? In Hakio, it’s much more intuitive. That helped a lot, because it also makes them want to explore and use the data themselves.”
Camille used to be the only one with a full view of stock rotation and product status, so everyone came to her for answers. A setup that simply didn’t scale.
“Before Hakio, everyone came to me to get these insights, but that just wasn’t sustainable. Now, when I mark a product as ‘phasing out,’ everyone else can see it right away in the platform, and act on that information.”

Looking ahead
With Hakio in place, Camille and the team at Winther Studio have laid the groundwork for smarter, faster, and more collaborative demand planning, giving them the clarity and agility needed to keep scaling confidently.
“Hakio gave us the overview and the speed we were missing. I hope other brands our size consider investing in a system like Hakio, because without the right overview, you quickly risk tying up way too much capital in inventory, which makes scaling unnecessarily difficult.” Camille concludes.
